Love is a hard bug to catch
People can be coughing it all around you,
blowing their dream-filled, commitment loving noses in your face.
And yet you never catch any symptoms.
Most of the time, I tell myself love is one of those diseases that I just don’t want to catch.
One of those ones that can linger for a long time, changing your entire chemistry.
No, I wouldn’t want that.
But love is like the chicken pox,
everybody’s got to have it once.
